HOPES of ever seeing KYLIE headlining Glastonbury have been dealt a hammer blow by organiser MICHAEL EAVIS.

She was due to play the festival in 2005 but had to pull out after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

And now dairy farmer Michael doesn't want her on the bill.

He tells Recognise magazine: "She was going to do it years ago but then she was ill.

"We've all moved on. We've moved on to different things now."

Thats nice of MICHAEL EAVIS isn't it, poor thing had cancer so she had to pull out now he has "moved on", she is still at the top of her game 20 years on (what a fool, stick with Jay Z who no one wanted last year then).

Though a big Kylie fan, I have to admit that she is rather corporate, and not suitable for any a music festival (festivals tend to lean towards the up-and-comers and alternative types). Why would SHE ever have entertained the notion? Obviously the organizers in 05 saw Minogue as an attraction, but it was obviously a case of selling out.

There's a sad amount of judgement in this thread alone. People who celebrate glastonbury are usually people who claim to embrace choice and difference, yet are so keen to belittle Kylie and her iconic place in music. She writes very little of her own songs, true, but so do most of the iconic female artists of modern music. A few of you are also very ignorant to what it is that Kylie does. Her live concerts and performances do NOT use backing tapes or mime acts - leave that to Britney. Every instrument is live, every word is live and she has played festivals before. She wouldn't be around this long still enjoying success if she were a mime act doing a stand in routine. Ignorance at its very best from people who only like people to have choice if it is their choice you choose.
