THINGS aren't looking good for CHRISTINA AGUILERA.

Her new album Bionic has suffered the biggest single-week drop in chart history.

Aggy's fourth studio album went straight to No1 after its release last week.

But Bionic has now plummeted to No29.

She used every pop trick in the book to promote the collection.

Xtina did outrageous photoshoots, gave loads of interviews and snogged a girl while wearing bondage gear in the video for Not Myself Tonight.

But while her loyal fans bought the album last week, it just hasn't captured the imagination of the wider public.

The poor album sales come soon after she suddenly postponed her American tour, which has now been put back to next year.

I can't help feeling times have just moved on.

Xtina, who turns 30 later this year, is struggling to be relevant as a pop star when you've got LADY GAGA, BEYONCE and even LEONA LEWIS out there.

It's either time to go diva - or stick her feet up.

at least it went to NO.1... !! let her release the right single after 'NOT MYSELF TONIGHT' it will go back up the charts..

Of couse it went to number 1 first week, with the combination of fans and the record company buying enough to get it there number status is easy, Mariah to Mcfly are all guilty of this tactic.

Christina was part of a trend in the late 90's, early noughties, that saw a gaggle of technically gifted but somewhat bland singers top the charts. Now there is a swing away from that, back toward the artiste - someone, whether she has a great voice or not, delivers with concept, presentation and style. While Mariah seems to do well enough, Christina has - unfortunately hit the skids. Perhaps if Aguilera stopped trying so hard to be another Madonna or Lady GaGa, she would establish a better and bigger fan base.

She's tried every trick in the book? The best way of promoting it over here would have been to come over here, do some performances and some radio/TV interviews.

Well, I don't think she's quite ready to be written off just yet! But being a successful artist that captivates the public DOES take more than simply having a strong voice. Christina just never seems original to me, and always seems to be trying hard to be something she's not.

because she has the habit of 'ripping off' ther artist, first she ripped off mariah, to her sassy diva look to her vocal style (she has a great voice but she copied mariahs style) and now shes doing the same with gaga. shes talented and pretty, she needs to do her own thing.
