Alicia hip-hops it to South Africa

ALICIA KEYS and fiancé SWIZZ BEATS have fallen in love with South Africa.

So it's appropriate they have had their impending marriage blessed in a traditional Zulu ceremony.

The hip-hop couple travelled to the city of Durban and donned Zulu clobber and sang songs under a fig tree, dubbed "the healing tree".

Alicia, who is five months pregnant, also had the couple's unborn baby blessed. The pair were in South Africa to headline the World Cup kick-off concert in Soweto.

Meanwhile, my deputy SEAN HAMILTON was on the terraces.

He caught the disastrous England v Algeria match on Friday and later posed with South Africa 2010 mascot Zakumi.

Sean was also invited on to the set of new BBC1 sci-fi drama Outsiders and met two of its stars, Brit actor ASHLEY WALTERS, and Ugly Betty star ERIC MABIUS. The series is about a group of expeditionaries forced to flee earth after a disaster to create a new society on a fictional planet.

Just outside Cape Town, the BBC have turned an old wine estate and its rocky surroundings into the set.

The show should be epic. It's out later this year or early in 2011.
