DANNII MINOGUE has become a mum.
The X Factor judge gave birth to a baby boy in her home town of Melbourne, Australia, on Monday night.
The lad, named Ethan Edward Smith, is the first child for Dannii, 38, and her partner Kris Smith, 31.
A spokesman said: "Mother and baby are doing well and dad is very proud."
Rugby hunk Kris wrote on his Twitter page this afternoon: "On behalf of the 3 of us I would like to thank you all for your kind words and best wishes. It means a lot to us."
Dannii admitted last year she had not thought about starting a family until meeting her British boyfriend, a former rugby player-turned-model.
"I was always like, I'm not going to have kids, but now I say to Kris, 'What if I really start enjoying this and want to have more'?'' Dannii told a magazine in April.
"He's soft, kind, gentle, manly, and looks after me.
"He's wanted us to have a baby from the very, very beginning and just loves it.''
Big sister Kylie is said to be thrilled at the news and is heading home later this month to meet her new nephew.
Before that, she'll be getting down to some serious shopping.
She recently promised: "When the baby arrives I am going to spoil it rotten, just like all aunties should."
Dannii will return to the X Factor judging panel later this year.
A number of stars, including Geri Halliwell, Nicole Scherzinger, Natalie Imbruglia, Pixie Lott and Katy Perry, all signed up to act as her stand-in at auditions around the country.

So when is Dannii planning to write a book on 'how to be a good parent', after all, being a 'celebrity' means that she has a legal obligation to tell parents how to raise kids correctly.

Let's hope she sets an example to the 'wee sheep' and gets herself married now and give the wee kid a decent name b'... always sounds bad.

are you for real this is 2010, you do not have to be married to have child, she is in a long term stable relationship, she is hardly a bad role model! Are you some scary hypocritical christian! Get a life.
Congratulations Danni - I had my little boy late in life, before I got married (have me shot)! I am now married is that ok! Your baby will be gorgeous - you both are.
